Drupal Weblinks Module

The Drupal Weblinks Module looks very much like the DB Links functionality in our current template system. The big thing which it does (and I thought it didn't) was when you update a URL it updates across the site dynamicly. The thing(s) it doesn't do, is provide for a proxy, such as EZProxy and Research Database link options such as 'Is Full Text'.

I think the EZProxy can be added pretty easily to the module. The 'Is Full Text' can either be added directly or we could possibly use the Taxonomy features of Drupal to implement these.

The dynamic subject pages for Research Databases would be created pretty automaticly. I think we would have to do some tweaking to get the alphabetical lists working automaticly.
