MySQL Backup

I'm working on scripts that will backup our MySQL databases. I found a script that I think will work very well. I next thing we need to do is have some way of copying the files off of the server to another server. I should be able to do do it with Samba. The issue is authentication with the remote file server. The username/password would need to be stored on the our server in plain text. I'll look on google some more for solutions.
